the short version

· the list of apps you've locked stays on your phone. it never goes to our servers.
· we use apple's family controls framework — the same one apple uses for screen time.
· we do not sell your data. ever.
· we do not show ads inside your prayers. ever.
· we do not run third-party analytics in the prayer flow.
· we do not run algorithms that optimize for time-on-app.

what we collect

Prayin is designed to need as little of your data as possible. when you use the app, we may collect:

apple id (if you sign in)

sign-in with apple is optional and only used to sync your prayer streak and schedules across your iphone and ipad. we receive an opaque apple-relay token, not your real email unless you choose to share it.

anonymous crash + diagnostic data

apple's standard crash reporting tells us when the app crashes. no personal information is attached. you can disable this in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements.

your prayer history (on your device)

every prayer you complete, the mood you checked in with, and your streak history live on your phone. if you enable apple id sync, this data is encrypted and synced via iCloud — never to our servers.

what we don't collect

· the specific apps you choose to lock (this list stays inside apple's Family Controls and never reaches us)
· your contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera
· your prayers, journal entries, or what you write to God
· browsing history, screen time data outside the apps you locked, or any cross-app behavior

family controls framework

Prayin uses apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivityframeworks. these are the same APIs apple uses for its built-in Screen Time feature. when you select apps to lock, the system stores those selections in a protected enclave on your device. apple's privacy architecture means we cannot see which apps you selected — only that you have an active lock configuration.

third parties

we use the minimum third parties required to run the app:

· apple — for sign-in with apple, iCloud sync, and the Family Controls framework
· RevenueCat — for subscription receipt validation (no personal data shared)

we do not use google analytics, facebook sdk, mixpanel, amplitude, or any other tracking sdk.

your rights

you have the right to:

· delete your apple id linkage (settings → account → unlink)
· export your prayer history (settings → data → export)
· delete the app and all local data at any time
· contact us with any data request at support@prayinlock.com

changes

if we ever change this policy, we'll update the “last updated” date above and notify active users via an in-app banner. our promise to keep your prayers private will not change.
